As part of our commitment to supporting Global Day of Action 7, Swansea Law Clinic has organised a series of events to raise awareness of decarbonisation and promote sustainable action within our university.
Our planned activities are as follows:
Presentation - We will be hosting a presentation outlining the main objectives of the Global Day of Action, focusing on why decarbonisation represents a just transition. The session will explore what decarbonisation is, the detrimental impacts of carbon emissions, and practical steps that can be taken toward meaningful change. We are pleased to announce that Professor Karen Morrow, Professor of Environmental Law at Swansea University will join us as a guest speaker to discuss the topic.
Seed Stall - We will host a stall distributing seeds to students free of charge. Each seed pot will include a QR code linking directly to the Global Day of Action website. We will also distribute information to promote awareness and participation.
Hike for Decarbonisation – Members of the Law Clinic, alongside Swansea University’s Hiking Society and other students, are hoping to participate in a hike to symbolically and practically support the cause of decarbonisation
